At O’Haras we are embracing our commitment to sustainability, which means making decisions on a daily basis that prioritise the health of our planet for future generations to come. We are on our way to becoming carbon neutral with the aim to make this a reality by the year 2030.
JUST AS SURE AS THE SUN (& OUR BREAD) WILL RISE
Our 120 solar panels on our rooftops ensure that we harness the power that the sun gives us. On a daily basis, we average about 30% of the power that it takes us to rise our breads and bake our cakes through solar alone. Now that’s something worth rising for!
LOCALLY SUSTAINABLE
As a proud and verified member of Origin Green, Ireland’s national food sustainability programme, we are committed to the local community and the local environment. We employover 100 people from around the area and we ensure waste bread is put to good use.
DEDICATION TO CRAFT & OUR CARBON FOOTPRINT
We source as much of our ingredients for our daily bakes from local suppliers as we can to ensure we keep or carbon footprint as low as possible.
